EC VETERINARY PHYSIOTHERAPY

We offer a high quality veterinary physiotherapy service to both dogs and horses in Milton Keynes, Northampton and the surrounding areas. Veterinary physiotherapy provides many benefits including pain relief, recovery from musculoskeletal injury/surgery, improved performance and the long-term management of numerous conditions.

Initial Assessment

This will include taking a full history of the animal as well as watching your pet move. Palpation of muscles and range of motion of joints will also be assessed. Both short-term and long-term goals will be discussed. Following this assessment a full treatment will be provided.

Treatment session

Treatment includes manual tenquniques such as massage and stretching. Where appropriate electrotherapy techniques can also be utilised to improve results. Similarly, the exercise and management plan we be provided to help your pet progress between appointments.

Important information

Before your first appointment, consent from your pet's veterinary surgeon may be required (form found here). This allows us to work alongside your vet and update them on your animal's treatment and progress.

Please note: equine patients are advised to have 24-48hrs off from ridden work post-treatment to allow recovery from deep tissue work.
